Geothermal Heat Pumps
Mission: build and supply the finest quality renewable energy, heating and air conditioning products, while showing genuine respect for our environment as well as our customers' need for efficient and economical operation.
30% Federal Tax Credit
for Geothermal EquipmentFederal and State Incentives List
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 removes the $2,000 cap on the 30% Tax Credit for geothermal heat pump systems. Now you get a true 30% tax credit for your whole system.
Efficiency
The biggest benefit of a Geothermal Heating system is that they use 25%-50% less electricity than conventional heating or cooling systems. This translates into a GHP using one unit of electricity to move three units of heat from the earth. According to the EPA, geothermal heat pumps can reduce energy consumption-and corresponding emissions-up to 44% compared to air-source heat pumps and up to 72% compared to electric resistance heating with standard air-conditioning equipment. GHPs also improve humidity control by maintaining about 50% relative indoor humidity, making GHPs very effective in humid areas
Geothermal heat pump systems allow for design flexibility and can be installed in both new and retrofit situations. Because the hardware requires less space than that needed by conventional HVAC systems, the equipment rooms can be greatly scaled down in size, freeing space for productive use. Ground source heat pump systems also provide excellent "zone" space conditioning, allowing different parts of your home to be heated or cooled to different temperatures.
This is TETCO
The TETCO product line was founded in 1977. And the makers of TETCO products have always been dedicated to the geothermal concept. It has been their only business. In the 1990s TETCOM, Inc., was purchased by the family owned Edwards Engineering Corporation and acquired this outstanding product line. After 2003, Chiller Solutions LLC - a manufacture of HVAC & process chillers -and the original owners of TETCO, acquired all the assest of Edwards Engineering, and thus reacquired the Geothermal Heat Pump Line.
From our 150,000 s.f. manufacturing facility in Pompton Plains, NJ, and the sales and application offices in Central Ohio, TETCO is centrally located within a 12 hour drive of over 60 percent of the population of the United States and Canada.
