Your Current Cooling System

Equipment Size: tons
Electric Rate:
To find your electric rate, divide your total monthly bill ($) by the total usage (kWhrs).
cts/kWhr
Cooling Hours:
Determined by the area selected on the map. If you know the actual cooling hours for your location, type it in here.

Your Current Heating System

Equipment Size: BTUs
Gas Rate:
To find your gas rate, divide your total monthly bill ($) by the total usage (therms).
cts/therm
Degree Days:
Automatically determined by the area selected on the map.
System Type:
SEER:
The SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is the BTU of cooling output during a typical cooling-season divided by the total electric energy input in watt-hours during the same period.

If you are unsure what the SEER is for your system, select the approximate year the equipment was manufactured/installed:

The TETCO EER is automatically inserted here.
The TETCO COP is automatically inserted here.
System Type:
AFUE/COP:
Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency, reflects the efficiency of a gas furnace in converting fuel to energy. Indicated as a percent on your furnace, it measures the amount of heat actually delivered to your house compared to the amount of fuel that you must supply to the furnace. Thus, a rating of 90 means that approximately 90% of the fuel is utilized to provide warmth to your home, while the remaining 10% escapes as exhaust.
The ratio of heating or cooling provided by a heat pump (or other refrigeration machine) to the energy consumed by the system under designated operating conditions. The higher the COP, the more efficient the system.

The COP is calculated by dividing the total heating capacity provided by the heat pump, including the circulating fan heat- but excluding supplementary resistance heat (Btu's per hour), by the total electrical input (watts) x 3.412.

If you are unsure what the AFUE/COP is for your systen, select the approximate year the equipment was manufactured/installed:
